Why The Bushnell Tour V5 Shift Slim Rangefinder?
The Bushnell Tour V5 Shift Slim Rangefinder is an excellent piece of kit. With the ability to tell you in seconds what distance you are from the pin without taking up hardly any room in your golf bag is very useful. Mostly used by the experienced golfers to check distances to choose the correct club but any golf player can benefit from a rangefinder.
Not only does it give you the distance to the flag, but it also works by compensating for the slope as well, meaning you get an even more realistic yardage. The Bushnell Tour V5 Shift Slim Rangefinder also comes in a nifty carry case that you can latch onto your golf bag. Failing that it has Bite Magnetic technology, using strong magnets it can hold on any metal object that is magnetic and don't worry its strong enough that it won't fall off.
Performance
The Bushnell Tour V5 Shift Slim Rangefinder has a lot of features that will improve your golf game. The ability to know the distance from where you are to the pin is extremely helpful and can keep you from hitting or short or over hitting it. For any player this is invaluable data that can make the difference between your best score and your worst.
The first feature is the PinSeeker Technology with visual jolt. This feature pinpoints the flag in seconds, giving you a red circle and a short vibrational burst to let you know it has locked on to the pin position. The results come up in seconds giving you extremely quick and accurate results ot the nearest yard or two.
The previous version of the Bushnell Tour Rangefinder was a great rangefinder but didn't quite meet the mark in terms of features. It worked well enough but did not include Slope-Switch technology, which compensates for the slope and adjusts the yardage accordingly. Luckily the Shift Slim version includes this, a much needed upgrade from its predecessor which was great rangefinder in itself. Granted you can not use the Slope-Switch technology in competition settings, but there is a feature in which you can turn this off meaning you can still use most of the features without breaking the rules.
Another great feature of the Bushnell Tour V5 Shift Slim Rangefinder is the Bite magnetic technology. This ergonomic feature helps you to mount the rangefinder magnetically to any metal surface, this could be the buggy or the trolley so it's in an easily accessible place. A neat little feature if you are known for mis placing things. Just find a spot and keep it there until you need it.
The digital readout and optics have been given an upgrade as well. Including multi-coated optics and 6x magnification which makes it even easier to lock on to those long range targets. It has got everything clarity, magnification and definition which unite to create a vivid display which looks great and Helps you to find the flag even easier.

The Bushnell Tour V5 Shift Slim Rangefinder also comes in a stylish and ergonomically designed carry case. This can be put into the pocket of your golf bag or you can tie it around one of the loops on your golf bag. The carry case helps to just add that extra layer of protection for something as valuable as a rangefinder which you don't want to be banging around in your bag or golf cart.
The only drawback we have found for the Bushnell Tour V5 Shift Slim Rangefinder is that occasionally it can miss the flag completely and focus on something else entirely, this doesn't happen a lot but it can be annoying when it does and you have to move around to get the right view. This probably happens 1 in 20 times of using which really is quite good.

Summary
So let us summarise the Bushnell Tour V5 Shift Slim Rangefinder. There are a lot of features which make this rangefinder one of the best in business, from the Pinseeker technology giving you a burst of vibration to let you know it has found the flag to the slope-switch function which everyone has been asking for on this version of the rangefinder. These teamed up with the Bite magnetic function make for an incredibly ergonomic, versatile and well performing rangefinder. The only drawback is the Bushnell Tour V5 Shift Slim's ability to miss the flag completely but that doesn't happen too often.
